The quartet IL DIVO was founded by musical producer Simon Cowell, who is considered the world's most famous musical reality show judge (Pop Idol, American Idol: The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent). In the past decade, Placido Domingo, José Cárres and Luciano Pavarotti conquered the world with the genre and now it is IL DIVO that is presenting their winning combination of pop music and classical music.
Producer Simon Cowell handpicked the singers from across Europe and the United States. Sébastian Izambard from France, David Miller from the United States, Urs Bühler from Switzerland and Carlos Marín from Spain. The ensemble has created one of the most successful performances in the history of the genre.
IL DIVO invented the crossover genre: operatic pop ("Popra"). The group was founded in Britain in 2004 and immediately gained a warm media embrace. At the beginning of their career the ensemble was hosted by Queen Mother - Oprah Winfrey and has since released 9 albums sold in more than 160 million copies. The quartet has over a million and a half followers on Facebook and more than half a million followers on their YouTube page.
Among their famous performances is a Duet with the Diva Celine Dion of "I Believe in You", an exciting version of Tony Braxton's immortal song "Unbreak My Heart, which has 50 million views, Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" and more.
