He has also collaborated with singer Shlomi Shabbat, hosted Idan Raichel and Itay Levy.
Several of the beloved singer's hits were turned into Israeli arrangements and performed in Hebrew by Israeli singers, for example: "Ze Ani" and "Ksheat Ito" by Eyal Golan, "Pa'am Bachaim" by Moshik Afia and Shlomi Saranga, "Kan Biladaich" by Maor Edri , "Mariposa" by Shlomi Shabat, "Eyen Davar Caze" by the duo Stalos and Oren Chen and "Im Techaki Li" by Peer Tessie.
Vertis was born in The Netherlands and moved with his family at a young age to Athens, Greece where he began his musical career by studying the Bouzouki. He continued to develop as a singer at clubs in Thessaloniki and the region of Macedonia. During his career, he won the 'Best New Singer Award' in Greece at the third "Arion" Awards Competition on behalf of the Greek Record Federation, a platinum album and an award for the best-selling Greek single. In addition, every year thousands of Israelis visit Nikos at the "YTON" music show club in Athens and the "Orma Club" in Thessaloniki.
From the EGOeast Production Office: "Our office has worked hard to return the performances from abroad to Israel and we are happy that our efforts have borne fruit. Nikos Vertis, a great Greek singer is returning to Israel. We will be announcing more shows soon. This summer will be all about collaborations with world-class international artists."
