Hi there!
IsraToys a leading Israeli toy manufacturer that specializes in the development of board games and educational games related to Judaism is recommending a few of their new games for the upcoming Hannukah Holidays.
Their puzzles are easily suitable for English speakers. Their other games require translation from Hebew by an adult before the children can play with them, but once translated, do not require language skills.
Branded Puzzles
Isratoys has a large assortment of puzzles including mini-puzzles, magnet puzzles, floor puzzles and regular puzzles ranging from 48 pieces to 1,000. The branded puzzles include all the kids favorites: Superman, Batman, Superheroes, Superwings, Wonder Woman, Fireman Sam, Smurfs, Tom and Jerry, Barbie and Hello Kitty.
Tfos Gamad (translates into 'Catch the Dwarf')
This game is a competitive family game for ages 6+ and is played by 2-4 players. Expected duration: 25 minutes.
The idea is that dwarfs are likable creatures, but are also very playful and naughty. They like to fool people especially by hiding their unattended objects. The only way to get the items back is to find the mischievous dwarfs.
The object of the game is to try and identify the spinning dwarf before the other players. Pay attention to the details: What does his beard look like? What about the shoes? What hat is he wearing? The more details you identify, the faster you can win the game!
How to play: Each player receives a set of identification cards. The first round starts by placing a silhouette card within a slot on the rotating stage. A dwarf card is then inserted behind the silhouette card (no peeking!). The marble is then released from the top of the ramp. The marble will push the lever and will cause the stage to spin. The players need to look at the quickly spinning dwarf and rapidly absorb all its identifying details so that they can assemble a copy by using their identification card set.
The player who managed to assemble the most correct dwarf parts in the round receives the dwarf card from the stage.
At the end of the game, the player who collected the most game cards is the winner!
The game develops memory, visual perception, strengthens fine motor skills, response time and agility.
Each game contains:
1 rotating stage
1 marble
1 silhouette card
4 identification kits containing 16 cards each (4 hats, 4 faces, 4 beards and 4 legs so that each set of 4 cards makes up a dwarf)
24 double-sided cards with different dwarf figures painted on them.
Happy Holidays!
