Brightman has also maintained a magnificent solo career in which she has developed a unique style called Classic-Pop, an operatic pop style that walks on the fine line between pop and classical music.

Brightman has sold over 30 million albums and is the only artist to appear in parallel both on the dance parade and the Billboard of classical music. In addition, she has achieved over 180 gold and platinum albums in over 40 countries.

She is also known for the iconic character that she played in the movie "Phantom of the Opera," whose soundtrack has sold over 40 million copies. Her duet with with Bocelli "Time to Say Goodbye" has become an international hit with sales of 12 million copies worldwide.

Brightman's albums - "Eden", "La Luna", "Harem" & Symphony" led the Billboard parades and served as the basis for world tours.

In addition, Brightman has performed at prestigious events such as the Princess Diana Memorial Concert in 2007, the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

In 2016 Brightman returned to the studio to begin working on HYMN with long time producer and collaborator Frank Peterson who notably steered production on eight groundbreaking recordings by the artist, including Dive [1993], Fly [1995], Timeless (Time To Say Goodbye) [1997], Eden [1998], La Luna [2000], Harem [2003], Symphony and Winter Symphony [2008]. The spiritually themed HYMN is an inspirational collection of orchestrated, choir-based songs. The album was recorded over the past two years in Hamburg, Miami, London, Vancouver, Los Angeles, New York, and Budapest.

HYMN’s spiritual and uplifting tone is set with its title track — a song by British prog-rock band Barclay James Harvest. The album also contains songs by such modern composers as Eric Whitacre (“Fly To Paradise”), Japanese famed musician and songwriter Yoshiki (“Miracle”), and German DJ Paul Kalkbrenner (“Sky and Sand”). The album concludes with a new execution of Brightman’s signature hit duet with Andrea Bocelli, “Time To Say Goodbye,” singing lyrics that she wrote herself, and sung in English for the first time. .
